VA Approved Flight Training

Leading Edge Aviation is proud to be one of the first helicopter flight schools in the country to be approved to offer flight training benefits to Veterans. Now you can use your GI Bill/VA benefits to acquire your helicopter pilot ratings through our degree program at Central Oregon Community College.

The Chapter 33: The Post 9/11 GI Bill

Education benefit program for individuals who served on active duty on or after September 11, 2001. When using your post 9/11 GI Bill you will be able to obtain your associates degree in aviation-applied science and you will earn your Private, Instrument, Commercial, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), and Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument rating (CFII). This program is offered as a two year degree program through Leading Edge Aviation and our affiliation with Central Oregon Community College.

Chapter 30: Montgomery GI Bill - Active Duty

Education program for individuals who initially started active duty on or after July 1, 1985 and for military retirees who entered the service before 1/1/1977 and were eligible to receive chapter 34 benefits.

Chapter 1606: Montgomery GI Bill - Selected Reserve

Selected reserve program may be available to you if you are a member of the selected reserve. The selected reserve includes Army Reserve, Air Force Reserve, Marine Corp Reserve, and Coast Guard Reserve, and the Army National Guard and Air National Guard.
