Rotorcraft Instrument

Training to fly under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) will greatly expand your value to any company and enhance safety for you and your passengers. You will learn to fly by reference to instruments in the cockpit and navigation solely by reference to flight gauges. In addition you will hone your skills as pilot.

FAA Minimum Requirements

10 Hours of Dual Instruction in R44 $4,500 @ $450/hour
20 Hours of Instruction in Fly It Simulator $2,500 @ 125/hour
30 Hours Pre & Post Flight & Ground $1,350 @ $ 45/hour
Aircraft Rental for Check Ride (1.5hrs) $608 @ $405/hour
FAA Examiners Fee $500 Estimated Cost
FAA Written Exam $90 Estimated Cost
