During that time, our core business was focused on aircraft avionics installation, repair, and sales.
New Horizons
2005 brought many changes, including new ownership, a new management team, and new horizons.
For instance, expanding on our core business, we’ve invested in a state-of-the-artUV laser wire marking machine.
This equipment brings a Boeing-standards level of quality to our avionics installation work—
required for wiring harnesses from major manufacturers such as Columbia Helicopters,
Bell Helicopter and Lockheed Martin.

With over fifteen years of experience, we’ve worked with all the major airplane and helicopter
manufacturers.
Enhanced Maintenance Services
Along with the avionics repair station, an FAA-approved maintenance repair certificate has been added,
giving our clients a “full service” option. A large portion of this new
department’s responsibilities is overseeing the Robinson Helicopter Overhaul program. This program
supports the ongoing operation of the Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters complying with the mandatory
2200 hour overhaul requirement.
Aircraft Sales
Leading Edge Aviation is Central Oregon’s authorized dealer for Robinson Helicopter.
We also help clients buy and sell aircraft.
Flight Training Program
Our FAA approved training curriculum offers both Part 61 and Part 141 training.
We offer an accredited program through Central Oregon Community College
for students pursuing a degree in Aviation Science.
Expanded Charter Services
We fly Bell 206 Jetranger R44, and R22 helicopters— providing clients with on-demand
charter, photography, sightseeing, fire fighting, search and rescue, heli-skiing, utility, and
agricultural operations.
